Nina Civil is a consultant anaesthetist at Waikato Hospital. Her clinical interests include anaesthesia for ENT and head and neck surgery, high risk airway management, obstetric anaesthesia, and acute general surgery. Outside her patient care roles, she is a supervisor of training and simulation instructor, and is currently completing a Masters in Medical Education. She has an interest in the pastoral care of trainees and the full theatre team, and is trained to deliver Critical Incident Stress Management interventions. Alongside all of this, she and her anaesthetic husband share the responsibilities of raising two small boys.
