Ashwina graduated from Manchester University in 2000. She worked in ED, Neurosurgery and Aeromedical retrieval, (flying well people home in Business class) before completing Anaesthesia training in Wales in 2011.
She has lived in NZ for the last 6 years, now working as a full-time Specialist Anaesthetist at Waitemata District Health Board, in Auckland. Her clinical interests include anaesthesia for pelvic exenteration, acute orthopaedics and pre assessment clinic.
Ashwina is the ANZCA Welfare advocate for the department, leads the trainee mentoring programme and is passionate about communication. She is a certified trainer of the Process Communication Model® and Leading Out of Drama® tools.
Today she will help you to re-imagine conflict and guide you to answer the question: 'what's the gap?'
